Two cows walk into a store and stand at the counter. A guy comes over and asks them what they want. "I want 3 cow magnets," the first cow says. "I want four cow magnets," the 2nd cow says. The store clerk brings them the cow magnets and sets them on the counter. "The magnets are $6.00 each," he says. "6.00?" says the first cow. "Epstein's is selling them for $4.00." The store clerk snatches them off the counter and puts them back. "So buy them from Epstein's. I'm not selling them any cheaper." Later that night the cows go home. After dinner they sit together at their computer and buy the cow magnets online. The first cow turns to the second cow and says, "You know what? We just saved $14." The second cow smiles and says,"Yes, and we can put that money in a savings account and earn 2% interest on it for the next four years." Both cows go to bed, happy in the knowledge that they are successfully planning for their future. Unfortunately, they are being raised solely for their meat, and are slaughtered the very next day.
