Armstrong & Gearwrench

Because of the Cooper/Danaher merger we can now start to carry Armstrong and Gearwrench. We are busily looking through their catalogs and trying to decide what to carry, so if you would like to put your two cents in, let us know in the next week.

Both GW and Armstrong share a number of designs, even though GW are made overseas and Armstrong in the USA. For example, the mechanisms for the fine tooth (60 tooth count)ratchets are interchangeable between the two lines (GW fine tooth and Armstrong MAXX ratchets)and other Danaher designed fine tooth ratchets as well, including some Craftsman, Matco, and a number of private labelled ratchets made Danaher. Having access to those fine tooth, pear-shaped ratchets would be great. Also both lines have products unique to Danaher such as the cross-beam (different names for different Danaher lines)wrench handles and of course the strong line of ratcheting wrenches 1st pioneered by GW and now found in most Danaher lines. GW, also has a large number of unique tools, such as ratcheting screwdrivers with T handles, unique designs on tap and die sets, serpentine belt kits, etc that are superb for auto techs, a strong line of extra long combination wrenches and many other products. Hope I didn’t overwhelm you suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestions. We don’t know how deep we will go into the Gearwrench line. We’ve heard it’s good quality, but it’s still imported, so….you know.

I’d like to see you carry the Maxx ratchets… they’re purdy.
