Had a customer request that I draw a “cock fight” on his box. Well, here it is.
So it was a slow day.

I meant it more as tongue in cheek joke (tee hee hee, the shipping guy will draw fighting wieners on the box.) In no way did I expect a chicken battle mural.
You completely blew away my expectations. I’m still laughing. Rock on, HJE!
Can’t resist on a additional comment on the clucks on the box.
In my hometown on a corner of a U.S. Highway and side street a large White Rooster reposes on the property of a weekly printed rag (newspaper).
Opposite the corner is the men in blue station (Police).
He is made of cast alumium and stands from ground to the top of his red cone about 8 foot in height.
Use to repose on the top of the ag barn at the local state fair grounds along with Chester P. White of the supersize porker fame.
Chester the black & white is still at the fair grounds.
Anyhow, last year for the wise old bird, I made up a sign out of plywood with the stenciled on slogan “Wanted by KFC”.
Put it out on a Saturday afternoon and it disappeared by mid-morning Monday.
Now, it is on to a new sign for chickenzilla.
I’ll borrow the slogan of a local corner grocery store, that on the side had a fresh kill poutry business, that operated here in town until the late 1970′s.
The store delievery trucks sported this motto.
Here goes and see if you can name the store and the City, which it operated:
We are a small wholesale tool store in downtown Kansas City. My great grandfather started this business 81 years ago. We specialize in quality American made hand tools.

Just noticed the noose in the background of your pictures. lol
pretty well done.
how much do you have to spend to get a limited edition, hand painted hje shipping vessel?
Doesn’t matter how much you order. You just have to ask.
ok! so is the hangman’s noose for the really special customers?
Who is the Artist on Staff?
Neat!!!

Chicken Fly High
Chicken Fly Low
Chicken Fly to Keep Happy
Chicken Fly No More
Looks like the old Chicken Gutz strip from the National Lampoon (ahhh, the ’70′s!)
Me! I did the chickens. Josh did the belt being punched (another customer request).
Wow, that’s almost like getting a free Basquiat with your tool order.
You got me on that one. What store was it?
Jean-Michel Basquiat the artist.
