This was a surprise to find this 5 pc SK screwdriver set in the Western Forge deal. Good sizes to. It is very similar to a lot of the Craftsman cushion grip screwdrivers that we got. 3/8″, 5/16″, 1/4″, #1 & #2 phillips.

I don’t believe Craftsman makes these anymore, but they are still offered in the Greenlee line. Nice 4 piece screw holding set. 2 slotted, #1 & #2 phillips.

could those possibly be prototype sk production? hard to imagine why they would be surplused before ever being offered. my guess is that sk did not beleive they would be appealing to the mechanics crowd and selling them to the hvac and elctrical world marked sk wasn’t going to be easy. just speculation of course. still, very nice drivers and tempting no matter what.
It is possible. We didn’t get a whole lot of them. Maybe 50 sets.
The S-K screwdrivers are indeed “Dead Ringers” for the Craftsman & Husky Brands, other than the aformentioned have clear Red handles for flat blades and clear Blue handles for phillips blades. The Husky’s are clear red, exclusive.
The two (2) local Sears stores no longer stock the screw-holding drivers.
Do the KC stores still stock?
I think they are still available on the “grand” on-line catalog, which I understand is a “nightmare to order and do business with.
You have a good price on these, as I recall the # 1 phillips that I purchased as a close-out at the “Big Sears” here, several years ago, was around $ 5.99, rugular price was around & 7.99.
Found this driver to be handy, in inserting certain size phillips head screws in Ingersall-Rand Commerical Door Hardware ( Von Duprin, Rushwin, Yale & Town as examples).
Again these should sale out quick at your retail prices.
