Starting in 1965, each year that we printed a catalog, we would change the color. While we no longer make paper catalogs, we are making quite a few t-shirts to try and keep up with the enormous demand of our customers for the most cutting edge fashions. So in the spirit of the catalog tradition, this year, 2013, we are radically changing our t-shirts from blue to grey.
We are also expanding the types of shirts we’re selling. Not only can you get a work shirt with our logo on the front and the bright silver tools on the back, you can also get it in a much softer lighter 50/50 blend for when you’re not working. It’s great for sitting around the house, looking in the fridge or standing in the back yard. Did I mention that all the new shirts are 100% US made? Well, they are. While our cost rose significantly, we kept them at the same price of $12.00 each.
And sweatshirts! We have USA sweatshirts. Hooded. Zipper up the front. Pockets. 80% cotton. The cost was also much higher on these for the US made, so we decided to just sell them at cost. That’s right. These bad boys cost us $35.00 and they’re worth every penny. Judging from the picture you can tell that Josh is equally impressed at the quality of these sweatshirts. Or maybe he was just cold and wanted to go inside. Either way this is bargain. (Sweatshirts also have bright silver tools on back, just like the shirts.)

Looks like some good stuff!
Made in USA shirts that also have the iconic (that DOES look neat) what a nice surprise to see this. Don’t get me wrong, your original shirts looked neat too, but I really like the sophisticated design of these shirts.
Whoever designed these shirts is one creative artist that really has a concrete understanding of art and design to say the least.
Good on you!
i don’t see a hooded pullover with a pouch pocket in the front…..hint,hint………..
You collect old tool catalogs too!
Two (2) to grab while you can for hand tool catalog collectors out there:
(1) Enderes Tools of Albert Lea, Minnesota.
(2) Baltimore Tool Works of Baltimore, Maryland.
Enderes went out of business, mid 2012.
Good news a Albert Lea businessman bought the assests and resumed production at the Albert Lea Plant. Production commenced during the last of November 2012.
Good American Made Quality tools. Screwdrivers remind me of the old Bridgeport Hardware Company of Brideport, Connecticut, Quality, before Crescent Niagra Corporation (Apex Tool Group) bought them out.
The new owner, Steve Overgaard of Albert Lea, is doing business under the name of Northbridge Tool LLC and will continue to market the tools under the Enderes trade name.
Don’t know if a web-site and catalog are available yet.
Think he is a co-owner of a firm in Albert Lea, a manufacturer callled Rink, Inc., that makes ice rink machines.
Baltimore Tools Works was owned since inception by the McCarthy family of Baltimore, Maryland.
Sold assests several years ago to Mayhew Tools of Shelborne, Massachusetts.
Do not know if the plant in Baltimore is still in operation or moved to Shelborne.
Any body out there, has information on this?
Out of curiosity, Jori, has HJE Co. every stocked either line in past?
